Green | September 15, 2006

When I shot this a few weeks ago, the pond at the Riverdale Farm was blanketed with a bright-green algae. Every time a duck living on the pond swam across, the duck would cut a line through the green that would magically fill back in a few seconds later. I don't know if the pond still looks like this, but I imagine that it will until winter.

UPDATE: I was originally going to post a second picture to compliment this one, but the second shot turned out to be way too over-exposed and can't be saved. I've changed the title of this picture and I'll be posting something different tomorrow. Oh, and thanks for the comments on this picture. It's slowly beginning to become a recent favourite of mine.
