I've titled this as number 2 in a series, but this picture was actually taken 10 years ago. I had just got a set of close-up filters at the time -- basically the cheapest way I could shoot macro -- and I went about shooting flowers in my parents' backyard. I was really proud of this picture at the time and I loved the over-saturated look provided by the now-discontinued Agfa Ultra 50 film. The depth of field is really shallow, but I still love the mesmerizing patterns provided by the cone of the flower.
The computer didn't get fixed this weekend as I didn't have any time, but I did manage to finish a roll of film that I dropped off today, so at least I'll have material to post over the next few weeks.

It amazing, i really loved the colors and the shallow dof. And kudos for having a 10 year image, i am not sure if i will have them after a similar period of time ;-)

I love this one. It kind of absorbs you.

Wow, perfect focus here. Maybe I should consider using a tripod for my macro shots.. As kikko said, this one really pulls you in and keeps you there. It's easy to get stuck connecting the dots.
