As a web designer, I went through a bit of a "grunge" phase a few years back. I was working on a couple of rock band sites and the distressed look really worked at the time. I wanted to get some of that feel back to this image. Flowers aren't really the first thing that come to mind when I think "grunge", but the warm tone and uneven border seem to fit this image well.

I've been having some issues with my computer, so I'm taking this weekend to rebuild it. There may not be any new posts this weekend, but I'm hoping to be back soon so keep checking back.

the color in this is freaking incredible. th orange spiky things just pop off the screen. the blur in the background works really well. sweet shot!

The colors are great, and the shallow DOF is awesome...i think the uneven border works really well here.
