Have you ever planned out "the perfect shot", envisioning the final photo before you even click the shutter, only to be marvelously disappointed with the results? That's what this photo is.
Everything that could have gone wrong, did: the colour is flat, the sky on the left is blown out, and it suffers from the oddest distortion I've seen from this lens. Then there's the matter of something in the background under the stairs, which I only noticed after I processed the image and would have been impossible to remove without starting over. But I put 2 hours of sweat into this image and I'm not about to trash it now. Hopefully I'll have something much better tomorrow.

what the heck is it...i think it's fascinating..is it someones house? is it at the beach? i've never seen anything like it. good thing ya didn't trash it.

This sits overlooking a drawbridge in the portlands area of Toronto. I guess that it's the control room for the bridge but it doesn't look like anyone's been there in a while.
Thanks for the comments, everyone. I didn't expect this much response. I guess that I was just feeling somewhat frustrated the results.
