I wanted to get this picture up a couple of days ago but work has kept me away from my photos. In the meantime, I've had a lot of recent hits to the website and it is currently in the number 5 position on photoblogs.org. Thank you for everyone who's added the site as a bookmark and to everyone who has made a comment. And thank you to those who haven't commented but are still enjoying the pictures anyway. I'm having a lot of fun with photography and the site right now and it's nice to know that others are enjoying the pictures.
About the shot: taken at the Don Valley Brickworks and given some careful post-processing in Photoshop. It's one of my personal favourites taken this year.

It should be one of your favorites! I love the color and shading and textures on those bricks. Gorgeous. You've really given the photo some depth.

Great tones here. I like how the sky and the tower don't have too much contrast, but are set apart enough to be dramatic.

I like the drama in this picture. ominous sky works well with the rather ominous looking tower.

Nice shot. I still remember driving to the Don Valley Brickworks after an event and realizing there was barely enough light to sneak in. I kindly asked her to speed up so I could make it there.

I like it! Makes me want to go down to the Brickworks like I've been planning for a while.

Very bold shot! It reaches towards the sky.

So full of detail, and the composition works quite well. I like the drama you have created here!
