This shot really didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. I was expecting something a bit more dramatic with the lighting but the camera didn't capture the scene in the same way as I saw it. Either way, I tried to turn this image into a study of patterns and colour and I think that it succeeds at that. I'm hoping to go back to the Don Valley Brickworks where I took this and spend some more time there one evening.
And I'm not sure what's behind the wall. I stuck my head through that hole and it was pitch black in there. Creepy.

there is an excellent palette of colors here that all blend well .. it seems to be a bit off balance, which a trained eye can be annoyed easily by.. but i really do like this. definitely an excellent atmospheric/texture shot.

Interesting textures and colors. I love the warmth in this image.

yeah, it seems overexposed, especially so to the top right. stop it down a bit and you would have had a winner!

It looks pretty good. Did you do any post processing with an editor. I like photoimpact.

Shots like this are great. The chaos of the intersecting colors and textures create so much visual interest.

I really love this shot. Although i think I would have cropped out the extra pipe and hole in the top right hand corner.

Photos don't need to turn out how you expected to be great. This one is a case in point!

I must climb this endless wall to get to the hollow of the window to see what is on the other side.

i love the colors. that's life..nothing is supposed to blend seamlessly together. what fun is that.

mat craig, I first thought that the whole image was tilted slightly but it looks like it's lens distortion. The 24-85mm Nikon lens I used for this shot is giving me tons of distortion.
Tuan, the slight overexposure was intentional to give it a more stressed look.
Forest Wander, I used curves to boost contrast and saturation, then added my own secret recipe to punch it up even more, all in Photoshop. So yes, this is processed to death.
Thanks for all the comments everyone!

I really love the texture and color in this. The bricks make for great lines also.
