Nesting #2 | June 21, 2006

OK, I promise that this is the last of the sepia-toned images, at least for a while.

Geese have adapted very well to urban environments so it's not uncommon to see geese nesting in what we humans think of as odd locations. This goose was familiar with her surroundings and recognized that I was not a threat to her eggs as there was no way for me to get very close to her. I shot this from a nearby bridge with a 70-210mm lens keeping enough of the background to give it context. I wasn't happy with the colour version so I selected the green colour channel, applied a sepia tritone, and made some minor curve adjustments.
