Contrasting scenes like this are all over Toronto -- you just have to look for them. This little garden is in Corktown and someone clearly thought that the area, a mix of working-class homes, stores, and factories, needs a little green. I broke the cardinal Rule-of-Thirds by positioning the edge of the wall right in the middle, but I feel that the image has much more of an impact this way. Rules are meant to be broken sometimes.
