Better Living Centre | October 13, 2006
notes

I was a huge nerd as a kid, and every summer during the Canadian National Exhibition I'd have to wander around the Better Living Centre for hours with my parents in tow, marveling at the latest televisions, electric pianos, and those orange chamois that could soak up an entire fish tank of water. Seeing the building now, I realize what a great example of modernist architecture it is. In great Toronto tradition, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they tear it down.

The picture is meant to be lo-fi: the dust, grain, distortion, and toning are intentional.

Nice effect. It looks like a vintage picture of a long away time...
