I don't usually shoot pictures of people. I don't feel comfortable asking for permission if I don't know them, and I feel awkward trying to get them to pose or move into a different position.
That being said, I shot this while out with a group of photographers, which made the experience easier. As the butcher kept working I took a few shots and his expression came across very natural and relaxed. My zoom lens was set at 70mm, so I was able to keep my distance from the subject, keep the store window in the frame, and have him comfortable enough to ignore me.
